IA not put on alert to evacuate Indians from Nepal : Civ. Avi.

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) The Civil Aviation Ministry tonight described as ''incorrect and baseless'' reports in a section of the media that Indian Airlines had been put on alert and asked to stand by to evacuate Indians from Nepal.

''This report is incorrect and baseless,'' a statement issued by the Civil Aviation Ministry said late tonight.

''The Ministry has reiterated that there are no plans for any evacuation in Nepal and Indian Airlines has not been put on alert,'' the statement added.
