Day temp remains appreciably above normal in most parts of India

Pune, Apr 24 (UNI) Hot day conditions prevailed at isolated places in Rajasthan. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam and Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir and north Rajasthan and were above normal in some parts of coastal Orissa, Haryana, south Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karnataka and Kerala.

They were appreciably below normal in Bihar and were below normal in Gujrat and in some parts of West Bengal and Sikkim and east Uttar Pradeh and in remaining parts of madhya Maharashtra. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Kerala and mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, south Rajasthan Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal and north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Orissa, Gangetic West Bengal, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada and north interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at few places in Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Haryana.
