Airtel launches new service for cricket fans to enjoy live action

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) Mobile services provider Airtel today launched its new service 'Cricket Genie' which will allow fans to enjoy the game live on their cell phones.

The service provides Airtel customers ball-by-ball live action of all international cricket matches in a high-quality simulated format on their mobiles.

Airtel customers will also have access to cricket news updates, statistics, day's highlights, schedules of matches/series played across the globe, results of recently concluded matches and cricket trivia through this service.

Announcing the launch of the latest service, Bharti Tele Ventures Ltd. Director Marketing&Communications Hemant Sachdev said, ''Cricket has a fanatical following among all demographics, Cricket Genie is a gift for a nation of cricket lovers. It is a unique fun format that allows cricket lovers to follow the game ball by ball when you are away from the TV or radio.'' The customers will have to log on to live.airtelworld.com or airtellive.com on their GPRS-enabled phones and click on the Cricket Genie link to avail of the service.

The current subscription fee is Rs 50 for all international matches till April 30 and the subscribers will have to renew the fee for all matches after this date.
