Yagna performed for Mahajan's speedy recovery

Chennai, Apr 23 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Unit of the BJP today performed a ''yagna'' for the speedy recovery of Former Union Minister and senior party leader Pramod Mahajan, who was battling for life at the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai.

Mr Mahajan was shot at by his brother and was undergoing treatment at the hospital.

BJP National Secretary Bandaru Dattatreya, Former Union Minister and Party National Executive Committee member Su Thirunavukakrasar, BJP State treasurer Chakravarthy, senior party leaders Sukumaran Nambiar and K N Lakshmanan attended the Yagna.

Meanwhile, BJP All India Vice-President L Ganesan, in a statement here said he visited Mr Mahajan at the Hospital in Mumbai, where doctors said that though he was not yet out of critical stage, there was slight improvement in his condition.

He said special poojas and prayers would be performed for speedy recovery of Mr Mahajan.
