Woman gangraped, house of former MLA's brother looted

Pathalgaon, Chhattisgarh, Apr 23 (UNI) A woman was gangraped by armed robbers, who barged into the house of a former MLA's brother and looted Rs 10,000 and jewellery last night, at Mayurnacha village in this district, police said today.

Four masked robbers forcibly entered into the house of former MLA Laljeet Singh's brother Shyamjeet and locked the members of house in a room.

After gathering the loot, the accused raped a woman. The victim was admitted to Kansabel healthcare centre.

The accused, suspected members of a naxal group, are absconding.

Meanwhile, Police have cordoned off the area.
