Two minors killed, 8 hurt in road accident

Jammu, Apr 23 (UNI) Two minor boys of a family were killed and eight others injured in a road accident near Barai Hamuman Mandir in Kathua, here.

Police said the mishap took place yesterday when a light motor vehicle collided head on with a truck.

Two minors, Neetan Abrol, 15, and Pervesh Kumar, 6, travelling in the vehicle, died on the spot while Shashi Kumar, Megha, Anita Verma, Nekal Abrol, Arun Abrol, Kuldeep, Sheel Abrol and Dakshesh Kumar were injured, police said, adding all were resident of Chhan Rorian village of Kathua district.

The injured were admitted to the district hospital.

A case of negligent driving has been registered in this regard.
