Swamy debunks UPA secularism
Chennai, Apr 23 (UNI) Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy today condemned the secularism as was being followed by the UPA and said it was 'a one-way obligation.' In a statement here, Dr Swamy said when a newspaper in Denmark published an offensive cartoon caricaturing Prophet Mohammad, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called up the Denmark Prime Minister to object to its publication.
But when the Malaysian Government demolished the 100-year-old Malaimel Sri Selva Kaliamman Temple in Kualalumpur a couple of days back, Dr Singh did not even issue a statement, much less call up the Malaysian Prime Minister, he said.
This was the second Hindu temple that had been demolished in recent months the earlier one being the Krishna Temple in Moscow, he claimed and asked Hindus to unite and save the ancient civilisation.
