SPO absconding with arms and ammunition of colleague

Jammu, Apr 23 (UNI) A Special Police Officer (SPO), engaged with commando group, Thathri in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, deserted his post and fled with arms and ammunition of his colleague.

According to police, the deserter, indentified as Shabir Ahmed is resident of Bani Thankel. He broke the box of his colleague Sajjad Ahmed and fled with one AK-56 rifle, three AK magazines, 90 rounds, one wireless set and two batteries.

Police has registered a case on the complaint of Sajjad and launched a combing operation to nab Shabir Ahmed.
