Seven killed in two road accidents in Orissa

Angul, Apr 23 (UNI) Seven people were killed in two separate road accidents near here and Dhenkanal in orissa today.

Police said five people were killed when a car, in which they were returning after attending a marriage party, collided head on with a speeding truck near the town in the wee hours.

While four of them died on the spot, a 12-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. The driver of the car has been admitted to a hospital in a critical condition.

In a seperate incident, two people were killed when a truck, in which they were travelling, collided with another truck at Jhargadia, about 13 kms from Dhenkanal town.

The drivers of both the trucks fled soon after the accident, police said.
