Rs 40 lakh for quake survivors of Tangdhar area in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 23 (UNI) More than Rs 40 lakh would be provided to the survivors of the devastating earthquake of October 8 last year in Tangdhar for constructing temporary sheds during the current fiscal.

This was stated by the District Development Commissioner, Kupwara.

The District Development Commissioner also identified the land at Baghi Bala and Jubri Karnah for rehabilitation of 900 families in unsafe and quake prone areas of the Karnah tehsil.

He asked the officials to ensure speedy disbursement of relief among the quake survivors.
