Roadside bombs kill 5 U.S. soldiers in Iraq

Baghdad, Apr 23: Two roadside bombs attacks killed five US soldiers in Baghdad yesterday, the US military said.

Four died when their combat patrol south of Baghdad was hit by a bomb, the military said in a statement.

A fifth soldier died tonight after being hit in a separate bomb attack south of Baghdad, a military spokeswoman said.

No further details were available.
