Moderate intensity quake in northern Sumatra

New Delhi, Apr 23: An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale, shook northern Sumatra early morning today.

According to the India Meteorological Department here the tremor, which occurred at 0453 hrs (IST), was epicentred at 03.3 degree North latitude and 98.0 degree East longitude.
