Meerut Fire braveheart fireman dies

Lucknow, Apr 23 (UNI) Director General of Uttar Pradesh Police Bua Singh has expressed grief over the death of fireman Vijay Pal Singh who today succumbed his injuried sustained during rescue operations in Meerut Trade Fair Fire on April 10.

In a condolence message here, Mr Singh said the UP Fire Services is proud of Vijay Pal, who without caring for his life saved the lives of many others. Ceremonial salute will be given to the deceased, to be cremated in Saharanpur district, Mr Singh added.

Mr Singh also assured every possible help to the family of the deceased fireman.

The fireman who had suffered 70 per cent burns during rescue operations died today at the Safdarjung hospital in the national capital.
