Maneka alleges multi-crore road scam in UP

Pilibhit, Apr 23 (UNI) BJP Lok Sabha MP Maneka Gandhi today alleged a multi-crore scam in construction of roads in Uttar Pradesh.

Talking to UNI here the former union minister said that the Planning Commission had given Rs 19,000 crore for development projects in UP, but the the Mulayam Singh Yadav government in the state, had misappropriated funds to the tune of Rs 5,000 crore, in the construction of roads.

A sum of Rs 5,000 crore has been misappropriated by the state government in construction of roads without charcoal and cement, Ms Gandhi alleged.
