Large quantity of expolsives seized in Kerala

Thrissur, Apr 23 (UNI) One person was arrested and large quantity of explosives seized, from Puthur in the district.

Acting on a tip off, the police arrested Anthony and seized 28,500 detonators, 317 gelatin sticks and 549 metre fuse wire, hidden in the cattle shed in his house.

On interrogation, Anthony told police the explosives belonged to another person, who was under police custody in a similar case, police said.

The Ollur police had seized 10,200 gelatin sticks and 4,500 electric detonators from a lorry which was involved in an accident on April 20.
