Iran says nuclear enrichment work irreversible
Tehran, Apr 23: Iran's work on uranium enrichment, which the United Nations has demanded be halted, is irreversible and the country will not give up its rights to nuclear technology even if faced with threats, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said today.
''Iran's uranium enrichment and nuclear research and development activities are irreversible,'' Hamid Reza Asefi told a news conference, adding that, even if a report by the UN atomic watchdog used the ''language of threats'' Iran would not back down.
