India is not safe in and out: Advani

Barrackpore, Apr 23 (UNI) Former deputy prime minister and BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani today said ''India is not safe in and out''.

''It is my inference following my Bharat Suraksha Yatra,'' Mr Advani said while addressing an election rally in favour of party candidate Rahul Sinha at Shyamnagar under Jaddal assembly consituency in north 24-parganas.

He said his travel in different patrs made him believe that several states were under the threats of either Naxalites or Maoists. He pointed out that their rise was due to policies of the Marxists.

Mr Advani alleged that 29-year old Marxist government's ''misrule'' in West Bengal left the state in a stagnant situation so far the development was concerned.

West Bengal has an overall growth rate below 7 per cent as against 15 per cent of the state of BJP ruled Gujarat, highest in the country and that was possible due to political transparency of chief minister Narendra Modi.

Mr Advani said as the Congress could not support the opposition in West Bengal to oust CPI(M) led government, but the people who were suppressed by the ''misrule'' would support the Trinamool Congress-BJP candidates to see a change through this elections.

Mr Advani described the Election Commission's strict measures to hold the election in West Bengal, were ''a historic one'', as for the first time the EC ensured to check rigging of the ruling parties.

Earlier Mr Advani expressed his wishes for early recovery of former Union Minister and BJP leader Promod Mahajan who sustained bullet injuries and fighting for life at the Hinduja hospital, from where Mr Advani flew to the city here.
