Housing society demands govt. withdraw GO on APIIC lands

Hyderabad, Apr 23 (UNI) Chankyapuri Co-operative Housing Society Limited today demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government must withdraw the GO 161 which facilitates allotment of 400 acres of land to Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) at Hitec city.

Talking to newsmen here, Housing Society President S N Bhansal pointed out that the land alloted to the APIIC belonged to the housing society, registered under its name with 3000 members in 1974.

Urging the Chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy allot atleast 250 acres of out of the 400 acres bought by the members, he said the land was in possession of the society since 1974 and application of the society for allotment of the land under GOs 455 and 456 was still pending with the government.
