Four undertrials escape from Sada Jail in South Goa

Panaji, Apr 23 (UNI) Police launched a massive manhunt for a life convict and three under trials facing murder charges, all from different states, who escaped from the high-security Sada jail complex in South Goa this afternoon.

The additional inspector general of prisons has ordered an inquiry into the jailbreak, even as initial reports said that the four fled away after wrenching the canteen window bars during the lunch session.

The life convict was identified as Xavier De Souza(45) from Karvar in neighbouring Karnataka, while others escapees include Rajiv Muvel(20) from Andhra Pradesh, Rajaram More(25) from Gujarat and Rahul Sharma from Madhya Pradesh.
