Foreign doctors satisfied with Mahajan's treatment: Shekhawat
Mumbai, Apr 23 (UNI) Confirming the arrival of a team of foreign doctors in Hindjua hospital where BJP general secretary Pramod Mahajan is battling for life on ventilator after being grievously injured by gun shots fired allegedly by his younger brother Pravin yesterday, Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat today said doctors from abroad were satsified with the course of treatment.
During a brief interaction with jostling media persons at the hospital, he said he had spoken to the doctors attending on Mr Mahajan and even the team of doctors from abroad who arrived here this morning were satisfied with the course of treatment.
The Vice-President expressed satisfaction about the treatment being given to Mr Mahajan, adding they are doing their best and if needed will consult doctors from other parts of the world and within the country.
It is learnt that a team of British doctors and a few who have come from Hyderabad have already held detailed discussion with the team of five surgeons who had operated on Mr Mahajan yesterday. The consensus that has emerged is to wait for his condition to stablise first before attempting a second surgery to retrieve three bullets still embedded in his body, hospital sources said.
Meanwhile, Mr Shekhawat thanked the people for their support, prayers and concern for the injured BJP leader.
