Fire in fodder store at Punjab CM's residence

Patiala, Apr 23 (UNI) A major fire broke out in the fodder store at New Moti Bagh Palace, the private residence of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh here this morning.

An official spokesman said two fire tenders, after an hour, managed to the blaze that broke out due to short circuit.

He said that at the time of the incident Chief Minister and his wife Preneet Kaur, MP from Patiala were not present in the Palace.

Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Verma and Senior Superintendent of Police Parmod Bhan rushed to the spot and supervised the arrangements.
