FINER to help set up plastic processing units

Guwahati, Apr 23 (UNI) The Federation of Industries and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER), along with the Assam Institute of Management and Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati, will help entrepreneurs in setting up plastic processing units in small and medium sectors.

In a release here yesterday, FINER representatives informed that the list of such entrepreneurs would be drawn shortly.

The FINER would also provide help in the form of expert services for preparation of feasibility reports, advisory services on best financial model, providing processing know-how and in other related aspects.

It would also co-ordinate with the Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology for need based services in the field, the release added.

With 80 per cent of the total plastic goods used in various sectors in the north east region bought from outside, this endevour is being targetted to meet the growing demand for plastic goods from within the region, the release further said.
