Divisional health offices to be revived
Bhopal, Apr 23 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government has issued orders to re-establish the Divisional Joint Director offices under the Public Health and Family Welfare Department.
As a result of the orders issued yesterday by the General Administration Department, such offices have come into existence at Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar and Ujjain, an official release said here.
The state government had abolished divisional offices following the introduction of district government system in 1999.
The offices of the regional joint director (Training and Law) of health services presently functioning at Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur will now be converted into divisional joint director offices.
The divisional joint directors of the revived offices will exercise the same administrative and financial powers as they enjoyed before 1999.
Besides, the government has also accorded sanction for filling up the 336 temporary posts for these offices.
The various posts would be filled up through promotions, contractual appointments and the surplus employees of other departments.
