AP HC suspends Sessions judge
Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 23 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh High Court has suspended a Sessions judge following representations by advocates.
In its complaint, the Gurazala Bar Association said Senior Civil- -cum-Assistant Sessions Judge K Bala Rama Raju would often insult the legal fraternity and humiliate lawyers. He had 'vengefully' initiated contempt of court proceedings against Association President and four other advocates.
He even switched off the television set in the bar association premises, it claimed.
Concerned at the behaviour of the judge, the Guntur District Bar Federation, comprising all the ten bar asssociations in the district, planned to call on Andhra Pradesh Chief Justice tomorrow.
However, the suspension orders were received yesterday even before the meeting could take place.
