AIPJD to work for weaker section of society: Siddaramaiah

Bangalore, Apr 23 (UNI) The All India Progressive Janata Dal (AIPJD) will strive hard to seek social justice for Minorities, Backward Classes and Dalits (AHINDA) who had been deprived of their political, economical and cultural rights for centuries.

Talking to UNI here today, AIPJD Karnataka President Siddharamaiah said as of its efforts, the party would be holding a public meeting in the city on April 25 and it would serve as a political platform for AHINDA. Former Prime Minister V P Singh and former Union Minister Ajit Singh would address the meeting.

To a question, he said the AIPJD would be strengthened in the state and exuded confidence that it would emerge as a strong alternative force to both the JD(S) and the BJP in the state.

He said that AIPJD would not align with the Jan Morcha which was revived today by Mr V P Singh. The AIPJD in the state would maintain its identity and work for the welfare of AHINDA, he added.
