Actor Naveen Nischol's wife commits suicide

Mumbai, Apr 23 (UNI) Geetanjali, wife of actor Naveen Nischol committed suicide last night by hanging herself from the ceiling at her Mahim residence.

Police said a suicide note has been recovered and family tensions was the reason behind Geetanjali taking the drastic step.

Both Geetanjali and Naveen were in the process of getting divorced, police added.

Recently, Naveen Nischol had alleged that his producer brother Praveen Nischol had thrown him out of his house, which the actor claims that he had purchased with his own money. He has since been staying in a small house in Mahim belonging to his in-laws.

Geetanjali's body has been sent to KEM hospital for autopsy.
