6 killed, 15 injured in road accident

Akola, Maharashtra, Apr 23 (UNI) Six persons wre killed and 15 injured, eight of them seriously, when the tractor-trolley in which they were travelling was dashed by a speeding truck near the Akola Naka early today.

The deceased have been identified as Mira Vilas Jadhav (30), Panchfula Jadhav (45), Maina Chavan (60), Leela Shere, Rukhma Rathod and Vamuna Jadhav.

Eight of the seriously injured have been shifted to the Akola General Hospital, police said. The victims were cooks who were proceeding to Kherda from Dhanora to prepare meals for a marriage function, police said.
