2 killed, 1 hurt in mishap in state

Ongole (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 23: Two persons died on the spot while one escaped with injuries when a lorry which lost control hit them near Edugundlapadu Village of Madyapadu Mandal in Prakasam District today.

Police said M Koteshwar (50), Yohan (48) and one of their associates who worked for a local cold storage plant were walking on the road near Edugundlapadu village when they were hit by a lorry proceeding to Vijaywada from Nellore.

While Koteshwar and Yohan died on the spot, the injured person whose identity was yet to be established, was taken to the Ongole Government Hospital for treatment.
