Vinod leads team to Pro-Am win at Hero Golf Open

Chandigarh, Apr 22 (UNI) After missing the winner's check in the individual event yesterday, Vinod Kumar made amends by leading his team to victory in a gala Pro-Am event of the Rs 12-lakh Hero Golf Open here today.

Vinod and his team of amateurs Rakesh Jolly, MP Singh and former India cricketer and now a national selector Bhupinder Singh (Sr) aggregated 206 to finish as the winners.

Kolkata pro Sankar Das and amateurs Col Gurdyal Singh and SS Dayal finished second while C Muniyappa and his team of Col HS Kapur, HS Kang and Col JS Kang came third.

After the 13-leg which concluded here today, the Aamby Valley PGAI Tour now moves to Noida for the ONGC-Noida Open to be held from April 24-28 before moving to Mumbai for a new event on the Tour.
