UDF, LDF facing undercurrents: BJP
Kannur, Kerala, Apr 22 (UNI) Kerala BJP President P S Sreedharan Pillai today said both the United Democratic Front (UDF) and Left Democratic Front (LDF) were facing strong undercurrents and confusing the voters.
Addressing a meet-the-press programme here, he alleged that the UDF and a section of the CPI(M) had entered into a secret understanding and there was a possibility of cross-voting in a few assembly segments in the elections.
Both the Fronts were seeking the support of religious fundamentalist outfits in the elections, Mr Pillai said and added that the state would have to pay a heavy price, if the emerging situation continued.
He also asked both the fronts to clarify on the support they got from some of the religious fundamentalist outfits for the assembly polls.
BJP President Rajnath Singh, will address election meetings in Kanjangad, Kannur, Vadakara and Koyilandi on April 25, he added.
