Thai twins lift doubles title; Matsui, Udomchoke in title clash

Chikmagalur, Karnataka, Apr 22 (UNI) Thai twins Sanchai and Sanchat Ratwatana today lifted the doubles title in the 25,000 dollar ATP Challenger Championship, even as unseeded Toshihide Matsui of Japan and second seed Danai Udomchoke of Thailand set up a title clash for tomorrow in the singles category.

In a match that lasted just 50 minutes, the second seed twins justified their billing by trouncing fourth seeded Yen-Hsun Lu of Taipei and Danai in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.

The winners became richer by 1,550 dollars and earned 50 points, while the runners up collected 36 points and 900 Dollars.

In the singles, top seeded Hyung-Taik Lee of Korea crashed out of the tournament in the semifinals, going down 6-7 (6), 4-6 +0 unseeded Toshihide Matsui.

''I did not think that I was playing a high ranking player, I just wanted to play challenging tennis,''gian-killer Matsui said after the match.
