Terrorism rising under UPA govt: Rajnath Singh
Shahjahanpur (UP), Apr 22: BJP national president Rajnath Singh today assailed the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government for giving rise to terrorism in the country by revoking POTA.
Addressing a public meeting as part of his 'Bharat Suraksha Yatra' here, Mr Singh alleged anarchy and terrorism had peaked under the current regime at the centre.
''UPA is soft towards terrorists, since it follows minority appeasement policies for political gains,'' he said adding, BJP would continue to oppose reservation on the basis of religion.
The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister asserted that illegal Bangladeshis would be driven out of the country, if the BJP came to power.
Commenting on the Indo-US nuclear agreement, Mr Singh observed the central government had ignored national interests in favour of the US.
Training guns on UPA's economic policies, he claimed that the inflation rate had shot up in the last two yrs.
