Rajnath, Katiyar leave for Mumbai

Lucknow, Apr 22(UNI) BJP president Rajnath Singh, suspending his second phase of the Suraksha yatra at Shajahanpur in Uttar Pradesh, today airdashed to Mumbai following bullet injury to party general secretary Pramod Mahajan.

Mr Singh will be reaching Mumbai along with some senior state leaders this afternoon.

Party sources maintained that the yatra would continue later on.

Meanwhile, BJP general secretary Vinay Katiyar too has left for Mumbai.

Mr Mahajan, who has been allegedly shot by his brother at his residence in Mumbai this morning, was in Rae Bareli on Wednesday during the filing of nominations of Mr Katiyar.
