Rajkumar's sway over Kannadigas continues
Mysore, Apr 22 (UNI) Kannada matinee idol Rajkumar's sway over the masses, even after his death, is evident from 50 physically challenged people following his footsteps and pledging to donate their eyes.
The differently abled people, members of the Karnataka State Physically Challenged Welfare Parishad, made the noble gesture at a condolence meeting, organised by the Parishad here today to mourn the death of the Dadasaheb Phalke awardee.
They also appealed to the other countrymen to follow suit.

It may be recalled that the thespian's eyes were donated immediately after his death in keeping with his pledge. The celebrated actor continued to see the world, with the successful transplantation of his corneas to a 15-year-old boy, suffering from Kerato Conus disease, and a 55-year-old man, whose one eye was damaged due to tocornea, at Narayana Nethralaya here.
