New political party formed in Manipur

Imphal, Apr 22 (UNI) A new political party, United People's Democratic Party, was formed in Manipur after a day-long convention last evening.

W Tharmi Shimray was elected president and Soso Lorho as working president and D P Panmei was given the post of general secretary.

The party also decided to demand the repeal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act 1958 in the convention UNI NS JYN LS DS1327
