Nepal's political parties reject king's offer
KATHMANDU, Apr 22 : Nepal's seven-party alliance today rejected overtures by King Gyanendra to form a government and said anti-monarchy protests would continue.
''The proclamation has no meaning,'' said former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala of the Nepali Congress, the largest party in the alliance. He was referring to the king's broadcast to the nation yesterday in which the monarch offered executive power to the alliance.
