NDFB ultras shoot brothers, one killed

Diphu, Apr 22 (UNI) One person was killed and another critically injured by suspected NDFB militants in Ramfo village under Howraghat police station of Karbi Anglong district today.

Police said two motorcycle borne suspected National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) militants shot the brothers from close range at about 1530 hours.

The deceased has been identified as one Ram Avatar Chouhan.

His brother Tara Babu Chouhan, also the office secretary of Karbi Anglong Hindi Bashi Chatra Sangha, had been shifted from Bokolia primary health centre to Nagaon in critical condition.

Police has launched operations to nab the ultras.
