Naxals and police exchange fire in Andhra Pradesh

Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 22 (UNI) Police and CPI (Maoist) today exchanged fire near Beerelli village in this district.

Police said the naxals opened fire on a special police party, who were combing the area in the village and the police retaliatedD. The Maoists, however, escaped from the place.

No casualities hade been reported. Two claymore mines were recovered from the place, police added.
