MCX COMDEX up 39.58 pts

Mumbai, Apr 22 (UNI) The MCX COMDEX closed at 2372.45 points, up by 39.58 points ( 1.67 per cent) today.

MCX recorded a turnover of Rs 1,833.03 crore single sides at 1400 hrs when it closes on Saturdays.

The total trades registered were 29,755, an MCX release said.

The MCX Metal index also up by 72.51 points (2.65 per cent) and MCX Agri Index was up by 27.10 points (1.71 per cent). MCX Energy Index was also up by 19.12 points (0.68 per cent).

The combined MCX Bullion registered a turnover of Rs 1,249.34 crore, including various MCX gold Rs 550.84 crore and MCX silver Rs 698.50 crore.

The total trades recorded for the MCX Bullion were 16499.

The open interest for gold was 9439 kgs, while the outstanding position for silver was 3,09,885 kgs.

In the Metals segment, MCX Copper registered a turnover of Rs 176.22 crore with 4,426 trades; while in the Energy segment, Crude oil contracts showed a turnover of Rs 36.39 crore with open interest of 4,82.300 barrels, the release added.
