'Mahamritunjya Jaap' for Mahajan's recovery

Bhopal, Apr 22 (UNI) Recitation of the 'Mahamritunjya Mantra' for quick recovery of BJP general secretary Pramod Mahajan is being performed at Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain besides other places across Madhya Pradesh.

Temple trust sources said a relative of Mr Mahajan had called up and urged to perform the rendition for the leader, whose condition was critical after being shot at by his brother Pravin Mahajan this morning.

Twelve priests had started the rendition at the temple's sanctum sanctorum at 0900 hrs today.

BJP workers performed rendition of 'Mahamritunjya Mantra' at the Khedapati Hanuman temple in the state capital.
