LJP leader shot at

Gaya, Apr 22 (UNI) A Lok Janashakti Party(LJP) leader Nawal Paswan today survived an attempt on his life when criminals opened fire at him in Bageshwari locality of Gaya town.

DIG of police Magadh range Arvind Pandey said motor cycle borne criminals shot at the LJP leader when he was at his residence.

Mr Paswan, who was an LJP candidate from Bodhgaya Assembly constituency in the last elections, was rushed to hospital where he was declared out of danger.

No arrest has been made so far and the case was under investigation, Mr Pandey added.
