Leather laboratory to be set up in Nellore: Minister

Hyderabad, Apr 22 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Industry Aswani Kumar today said a world class Leather Laboratory would be set up at Nellore.

Talking to newspersons here, he said a Leather Park would also be established in Nellore.

Mr Kumar said Centre has allocated Rs 30 crore, while State Government had sanctioned Rs 20 crore to develop infrastructure at Leather park. The Government would invite tenders to develop infrastructure at the park, which was being established in 450 acres of land, he added.

Stating that another Leather park would be established in Medak district, State Major Industries and Tourism Minister J Geeta Reddy said Rs 600 crore had been allocated to develop Pharma city at Visakhapatnam.

Ms Reddy said Andhra Pradesh State Finance Corporation (APSFC) had earned Rs 24 crore profit during last year and the Centre had allocated Rs 30 crore for APSFC, UNI AP KVV 1655
