Judgement on Maongwati case in a week

Kohima, Apr 22 (UNI) The judgement of Dr Maongwati assassination case will be announced within a week.

Hearing was concluded yesterday at the Additional District Commissioner (Judicial) court.

The decision of the court would be partial disposal of the case as few arrest warrants were yet to be issued.

Dr Maongwati was shot by one gunman at the premises of Dimapur civil hospital on May 27, 2004.

Police later arrested three persons and chargesheeted nine others.

However, one underground outfit refused to handover the chargesheeted culprits to the police.
