IPS Das files complaint against Shabnam

Patna, Apr 22 (UNI) An IPS officer of Bihar Amitabh Kumar Das today filed a complaint case against Shabnam Sinha, daughter of a former colleague late P K Sinha and some scribes.

The case was filed before the chief judicial magistrate of Patna Ms Sushma Sinha under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) who fixed April 24 the date for hearing.

As per the complaint case, allegation of sexual exploitation made by Shabnam Sinha against Mr Das was just for extortion which maligned him. The Editor and correspondents of a local daily were also made a party in the case since they had allegedly launched a sustained campaign against Mr Das with a view to tarnishing his image and reputation in the society.

Earlier by a letter, Ms Sinha sought intervention of state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stating therein that she was sexualy and mentally exploited by Mr Das.
