New Delhi, Apr 22 (UNI) The India-Nepal Human Development and Friendship Association (INHDFA) today welcomed King Gyanendra's announcement to restore power to people and urged the seven- party alliance to arrive at a consensus for a lasting solution to the crisis in the Himalayan Kingdom.

''The move is welcome but much more needs to be done... at the same political parties must work honestly to end the crisis,'' INHDFA president Lama Lobzang said in a statement here.

Early restoration of democracy in the Kingdom would strengthen relations between India and Nepal, Mr Lobzang said.
