Haryana fixes 8 per cent interest on GPF

Chandigarh, April 22 (UNI) The Haryana government has fixed an interest rate of eight per cent per annum on deposits in the General Provident Fund (GPF) with effect from April 1, 2005.

An official spokesman said the decision would also apply on the GPF accumulations as stood on March 31, 2005.

This rate of interest would be effective during the financial year 2005-06, he added.
