HAFED announces rebate on NPK purchase

Chandigarh, Apr 22 (UNI) The Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED) has announced a special rebate of Rs 80 per metric tonne (PMT) for the farmers on the purchase of NPK 12:32:16 during the Kharif season this year.

Stating this here today, a HAFED spokesman said the rebate of Rs 50 per metric tonne on the purchase of Urea as announced during last year was also continuing.

He said the centre had announced the maximum retail price of Rs 8480 per metric tonne for NPK 12:32:16 which came out to be Rs 424 per bag of 50 kg NPK 12:32:16.

The HAFED had decided to pass on the rebate of Rs 80 PMT from its own margin on the purchase of NPK 12:32:16 to the farmers of the state.

He said during the last Kharif season, the HAFED had sold 20,000 metric tonnes of NPK 12:32:16. HAFED had made adequate arrangements for the advance stocking of fertilisers in the state.

For the Kharif season this year, the advance stocking of 25,000 metric tonnes of DAP and 15,550 metric tonnes of Urea had already been made.
