Gujarat cops arrest Ludhiana Stock Exchange broker

Ludhiana, Apr 22 (UNI) A police team from Ahmedabad today arrested a Ludhiana Stock Exchange (LSE) broker Shagun Garg and his accomplice Gaurav here in a cyber crime, in which the duo managed to sell off the gold of Ahmedabad-based broker Hiren Jhunjhunwala.

The duo, who were arrested by the police team led by sub-inspector H T Banker from Ahmedabad, had traced the ID number of Mr Jhunjhunwala and sold his 12-kg gold at cheap rates, police here said.

Mr Jhujhunwala, the resident of Ahmedabad, is a broker of the Mumbai-based Multi Community Exchange.

The policy personnel from Ahmedabad, who reached here after discovering that the deal on internet was struck in Ludhiana, would now investigate the identity of the beneficiary who had purchased the gold.
