Free and fair poll will be ensured in Budhni: CM

Bhopal, Apr 22 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said no stone will be left unturned for ensuring free and fair conduct of Budhni bypoll.

In his reaction to the Election Commission's (EC) decision to postpone the bypoll, Mr Chouhan said he honoured the EC's decision.

Assuring all possible cooperation to the constitutional body, he said all parties had been found guilty of violation of the model code of conduct.

However, he said, as a candidate himself he will ensure no violation takes place on behalf of his party.

Mr Chouhan said the model code will be fully adhered to. Limited number of vehicles will be deployed for campaigning, while he will personally campaign without vehicle, with party flag and mike, he said.

He said that it was not necessary for ministers to participate in the campaign. However, the party will decide about individual responsibilities, the chief minister further said.
