Four surrender in Sureedu murder case
Anantapur, Apr 22 (UNI) Four people surrendered before a local court in Tadipatri over the murder of former MLA and Telugu Desam leader Suryapratap Reddy alias Sureedu at Tadapatri rail station on Tuesday.
Sureedu was shot dead when he alighted from the Venkatadri Express coming from Secunderabad. His family lodged a complaint that Tadipatri Market Committee chairman B Narayana Reddy's sons, Pratap and Nageshwar Reddy, and his followers S Lokeshwar Reddy and K Maheswar Reddy were behind the murder.
Yesterday, all the four accused surrendered before the Tadipatri Junior Civil Judge Venugopal Rao and stated they were surrendering as they feared for their lives. The court has sent them to judicial remand till May 14.
It may be recalled that police had earlier said they had not mentioned any names in the FIR.
